Position Overview Functional Consultant – Responsible for delivering sophisticated investment modelling solutions for the real estate industry. The role involves partnering closely with clients to configure and implement software supporting financial forecasting, valuations, and portfolio optimisation, and acting as a trusted advisor to translate complex investment strategies into scalable solutions that drive measurable business value. Hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week; the position is based in the Cape Town office. Key Responsibilities Configure, customise, and implement software solutions to meet client needs across different product areas. Act as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions to business goals and operational strategies. Lead the implementation of product solutions with limited supervision within agreed scope and timelines, collaborating closely with clients and internal teams. Translate client requirements into precise documentation and actionable solutions. Provide training, workshops, and ongoing support to clients to ensure effective adoption of the platform. Troubleshoot technical and modelling issues, ensuring software solutions are reliable and accurate. Manage workload effectively, highlighting potential delays and working to maintain agreed deadlines. Build and maintain strong client relationships by managing expectations and prioritising feedback. Share knowledge and mentor peers to strengthen team capability and performance. Contribute to team and organisational goals while pursuing ongoing professional growth. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. 3–5 years of experience in consulting, implementation, or product‑related roles. Strong understanding of business processes and solution design principles. Exceptional problem‑solving, analytical, and client‑facing communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder expectations simultaneously. Commitment to team and organisational goals while pursuing ongoing professional growth.
