Duties & Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities through extensive market research and networking. Conduct comprehensive due diligence, including financial analysis, industry research, and risk assessment. Prepare investment memos and present findings to the investment committee for strategic decision-making. Transaction Execution: Collaborate with senior team members to structure and negotiate investment deals effectively. Assist in drafting legal documents and agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy. Manage the closing process, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete for seamless transactions. Portfolio Management: Monitor and actively manage portfolio companies, tracking financial performance and operational metrics. Engage with portfolio company management teams to drive value creation initiatives and optimize performance. Contribute to the development and implementation of exit strategies for portfolio investments. Market Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, economic developments, and regulatory changes across African markets. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support investment decision-making processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus. 2-4 years of relevant experience in private equity or corporate finance. Proficiency in financial modelling and analysis. Deep understanding of African markets and the ability to assess investment opportunities within the region.
