A well-established organisation within the construction sector, based in Pretoria, is currently seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a project-driven environment where financial accuracy, cost control, and operational support play a critical role in delivering successful outcomes.Duties: Full function general ledger management across multiple accounts and projects Preparation, analysis, and completion of monthly management accounts Month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and journals General ledger reconciliations and detailed balance sheet reconciliations Processing, reviewing, and posting of journal entries with accuracy and control Preparation of financial reports for internal stakeholders and management Assistance with external audit preparation and supporting documentation Reconciliation and monitoring of key balance sheet accounts (including creditors, debtors, and project-related accounts) Support with construction/project costing and financial tracking Ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies Identifying and resolving variances and discrepancies in financial data Qualifications & Skills: BCom Accounting (required) Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles (required) 13 years' post-articles experience advantageous Strong experience with GL reconciliations and month-end processes Exposure to construction, property, or project-based environments beneficial Strong Excel skills (advanced level advantageous) Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
