This leadership role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, strengthen financial controls, and partner with senior stakeholders across both the South African and broader African operations in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. As Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the finance function, driving strategy execution, enhancing governance, and delivering financial insight to support business growth and operational excellence. Working closely with teams across Africa, you will play a key role in supporting regional operations, improving financial performance, and contributing to the continued success of the business within a collaborative, results-driven environment. Duties: Lead the full finance function, including financial reporting, monthly management accounts, and group reporting Drive implementation of short- and long-term strategic business plans across the local operation Lead budgeting, forecasting, and deliver insightful variance analysis and performance reporting Oversee all audits (internal, statutory, and tax) and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements Evaluate business projects and support commercial decision-making, including post-implementation reviews Strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and continuously improve business processes Partner with operations on cost optimisation, procurement initiatives, and overall business performance Education and experience: CA(SA) 15+ years experience, including at least 23 years in a senior finance leadership role Experience within automotive, FMCG or manufacturing Experience working with African entities is compulsory
