Role Overview TransUnion's HR Benefits and Operations Consultant will design, implement, and manage compensation structures and employee benefits programs across eight African countries, ensuring compliance with local labour laws and internal policies while aligning with strategic business objectives. Key Responsibilities Oversee administration of employee benefits including medical aid, retirement plans, life and disability insurance, and wellness programs. Evaluate and recommend enhancements to benefits offerings based on employee needs and market trends. Manage relationships with third‑party benefits providers and brokers. Ensure timely enrollment, claims processing, and communication of benefits information. Manage grading systems to support organizational structure and pay equity. Partner with the Center of Excellence to maintain competitive salary structures and incentive programs across African markets. Support annual merit review cycles, including salary increases and bonus allocations. Advise leadership on compensation processes for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers. Ensure HR policies and procedures comply with labour laws, tax regulations and governance standards, including BBBEE and transformation requirements. Prepare for Department of Labour audits and submit regulatory reports related to benefits and compensation. Provide regular reporting on HR metrics, benefits utilisation and cost analysis; develop dashboards and analytical insights. Lead communication campaigns to educate employees on compensation, benefits and policy changes. Resolve employee queries related to pay and benefits; support onboarding and off‑boarding benefits components. Oversee daily operations by monitoring workflows, assigning tasks and ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met. Support and develop the team through coaching, training and performance feedback. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance or a related field. At least 7 years experience in benefits and rewards management. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday). In‑depth knowledge of South African labour laws and tax regulations. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills. Strong presentation skills and experience preparing executive‑level reports. Familiarity with various grading systems and compensation frameworks. Team‑player capable of working within a collaborative and fast‑paced environment. Capability to lead and manage a small team to achieve operational goals. Work Environment This is a hybrid position that requires regular virtual work and in‑person presence at an assigned TransUnion office for a minimum of two days per week. #J-18808-Ljbffr
