Job Title: Senior Bookkeeper - Heavy Manufacturing/Mining (Industry Experience Essential & Non-Negotiable) Location: Kempton Park, JHB Job Type: Full-time Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in the heavy manufacturing/mining industry. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and experience working with financial data in a manufacturing/mining environment. This role will involve overseeing the financial records of the company and ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry regulations. Responsibilities Manage the day‑to‑day financial operations of the company, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations Prepare financial statements and reports for management review Full‑function creditors and debtors management Petty cash processing and reconciliations. Daily stock & inventory processing and adjustments Post journal entries for accrued expenses, and interest‑bearing loans Monitor cash flow and budgeting to ensure financial stability Assist with tax preparation and reporting Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency Qualifications Diploma/Degree in Accounting or Bookkeeping. 3 - 5 years of experience in financial accounting, within the heavy manufacturing/mining industry Proficient with Accounting Packages - eg. Sage, Pastel, Xero Accounting. Intermediate Excel Skills Excellent communication and organisational skills A can‑do attitude Own transport essential An ability to work to deadlines.
