Occupational Health Nurse (3-Year Contract) Location: Somerset West, Western Cape We are seeking qualified and experienced Occupational Health Nurses to join our team on a 3-year fixed-term contract based in Somerset West, Western Cape. Applications are welcome from candidates residing in surrounding areas including Strand, Gordon's Bay, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Bellville, and Cape Town. Candidates willing to relocate to the Western Cape are also encouraged to apply. Proficiency in conducting spirometry, audiometry, and vision screening, along with knowledge of occupational health legislation and best practices. Strong administrative and record-keeping skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Experience with COID (Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases) administration, Injury-on-Duty (IOD) processes, and claims management will be advantageous. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct medical surveillance and health assessments Perform spirometry, audiometry, vision screening, and other occupational health evaluations as required Manage and administer COID claims and Injury-on-Duty (IOD) documentation where required Liaise with relevant stakeholders regarding COID-related matters and reporting Maintain accurate medical records and reports Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations Provide health education and promotion in the workplace Liaise with management and external stakeholders where required Registered Occupational Health Nurse with valid, up-to-date SANC registration Relevant occupational health qualifications and certifications Previous experience in occupational health nursing Experience in COID administration and Injury-on-Duty (IOD) case management will be advantageous Candidates not registered as Occupational Health Nurses will not be considered Remuneration Market-related salary aligned with industry standards.
