Role Overview The Senior Accountant is responsible for full-function accounting across multiple entities within the group, ensuring accurate reporting, strong control environments, and efficient financial operations. This role requires advanced technical capability, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work across SPVs, development entities, and operational companies. You will work closely with the Group Finance Manager and supervise staff while contributing to robust financial management across the organisation. Key Responsibilities 1. Payment Processing & Cash Management Review supplier reconciliations for mid‑month, month‑end, and ad‑hoc payments Review and authorise beneficiaries Process drawdowns (Investec) and Forex payments (FNB) Oversee project payment cycles and ensure time‑sensitive submission Cash flow oversight across entities Update brokerage and project billing schedules Prepare new project billing frameworks Review STL, leasing, ad‑hoc, and tenant billing Prepare intercompany loan interest journals Support revenue reconciliation and month‑end close 3. VAT Compliance Prepare and review VAT workings Submit VAT payments for approval Ensure compliance across all statutory entities Full ownership of the audit cycle per entity Prepare audit files and supporting schedules Resolve queries and process audit journals Review drafted AFS 5. Month‑End Close & Reporting Review TBs, reconciliations, control accounts, and balance sheet movements Prepare monthly accruals and recurring journals Review debtor/creditor age analyses and facility statements 6. Transfers & SPVs Review transfer billing Process reallocation journals and completion cost adjustments Add new entities and maintain system structures Set up users, templates, GL codes, and tags 8.
