Requirements Degree, National Diploma or equivalent REQV13 qualification with major in Drawing, Painting, or Graphic design, plus at least three (03) years of relevant experience. Teacher qualification is an advantage. SACE registration certificate. In‑depth knowledge of Art and Design subjects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Strong organisational, planning and administrative abilities. Ability to plan and deliver lessons and assess students effectively. Computer literacy. Moderator and Assessor Certificate will be an added advantage. Responsibilities Teach Art and Design across the curriculum, following QCTO Curriculum Instructions and the Teaching and Learning Plan Framework. Compile the POA, POE and Subjects as mandated by academic plans. Assist with recruitment, registration and induction of students. Facilitate general academic and career development of students. Prepare lesson plans and deliver lectures in compliance with the College Annual Academic Plan, the Campus timetable and the College Quality Management System. Assess students, maintain assessment records and capture marks electronically. Create a conducive classroom environment, manage discipline and maintain classroom management standards. Report to the Senior Lecturer and liaise with Student Support Officers to provide support interventions. Distribute textbooks and student packs and maintain records. Manage and monitor student attendance. Invigilate internal and external examinations. Participate in student extra‑curricular activities and promote holistic development.
