This position provides project management guidance to Clients and is responsible for providing technical project planning, management and oversight for key initiatives and implementation of projects, ensuring that these projects are completed on‑time, within scope and budget while applying all aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) that enables the business to retain its ISO 9001 accreditation. This position reports to the Executive: Project Manager . This position will be based in the Johannesburg office. Responsibilities Lead and manage buildings projects Lead a team of Henry Fagan project managers on built environment projects. Manage and control all aspects of projects from initiation to project close out. Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget. Development of client brief and project scope of works. Weekly or as required progress review – planned versus actual. Implement remedial action plans to recover project time delays. Undertake reviews of extension of time delays and make recommendations to the client. Regular site visits to ascertain site progress, build quality, construction related concerns, interface coordination issues etc. Provide value engineering services to bring project costs in at budget. Manage projects costs to provide accurate reporting to client in conjunction with QS. Preparation of project plans, conducting project health checks and overseeing the implementation of recovery plans where necessary. Assisting the Business Development team and the relevant Executive in identifying opportunities for tendering, preparation of requests for proposals and full tender proposals, as well as assisting with create of part content of submission of tenders. Generate relevant reports for projects as required by the business. Source professional partners with specialist skills for Consortiums or Joint Ventures, as well as assess and recommend specialists for tendering purposes. Qualifications and Experience Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Any Built Environment Qualification 10–15 years construction project management experience / 5 years’ experience in any built environment discipline at senior level Extensive experience in management of project teams Stakeholder management experience Registered as a Pr.CPM with SACPCMP Consulting engineering background essential Quality systems knowledge Key Knowledge Areas and Competencies Technical Skills Advanced MS Project knowledge Strong presentation skills Strategic networking Proposal and report writing Deltek / Vantagepoint advantageous #J-18808-Ljbffr
