Introduction A growing renewable energy group has recently insourced the majority of its accounting function and is seeking a dynamic Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper to support the expanding finance team. This role is suited to a well-rounded finance professional with broad exposure across the full accounting function. We are specifically looking for someone who has not worked in a silo (e.g. purely creditors or debtors), but who understands the full accounting cycle within a group structure. The successful candidate will gain exposure to group companies, subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, related party loans, and renewable energy project structures across Southern Africa. Duties & Responsibilities Full bookkeeping function across multiple group entities Processing journals, accruals, prepayments, and reconciliations Preparing and assisting with monthly management accounts Maintaining general ledger integrity Performing bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations Processing and reconciling intercompany transactions and balances Assisting with group consolidations Managing related party transactions and intercompany loans Supporting VAT, tax compliance, and statutory submissions Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Supporting external audit processes and lender reporting Loading payments across multiple entities Maintaining strong financial controls and documentation Desired Experience & Qualification BCom Accounting / Financial Accounting degree or similar qualification Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience Experience working in a group structure with subsidiaries Exposure to intercompany loans and related party transactions Strong bookkeeping and general ledger experience Experience on SAGE, Xero or similar accounting systems Advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable) Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Ability to work independently and take ownership Ideal Candidate Profile Broad accounting exposure across functions (not silo-based) Comfortable working across multiple entities Able to engage with auditors, lenders, and management Structured, organised, and deadline-driven Interested in gaining exposure within the renewable energy sector Package & Remuneration R 250 000 - R 500 000 CTC #J-18808-Ljbffr
