Sr Engineer, Development Ops Responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining large‑scale infrastructure and DevOps pipelines that support TransUnion’s global credit and analytics platforms. Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. Support, monitor, and enhance live infrastructure and platform solutions to guarantee high availability and performance. Plan and execute the integration of existing infrastructure into TransUnion’s group‑wide cloud platform, minimizing disruptions. Lead the migration of infrastructure from AWS to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring seamless transition and optimal use of GCP services. Maintain robust CI/CD pipelines and collaborate closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes. Enhance security posture by ensuring compliance with industry standards such as SOC‑2 and ISO27001. Diagnose and resolve infrastructure outages and incidents, performing root‑cause analysis and timely remediation. Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure, systems, and processes for onboarding, troubleshooting, and scalability. Promote and implement DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across the organization. Qualifications Strong Linux systems administration experience, including firewalls and hardening. Expertise in Docker and container orchestration. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform. Experience with network design, administration, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of programming languages such as JavaScript, Node.js, and PHP. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Web server configuration experience (Apache, Nginx) and familiarity with MSSQL Server. Database management experience (MySQL, MongoDB) with high‑availability and backup solutions. Hands‑on experience managing cloud providers, notably AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Familiarity with GCP services including Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud Storage, BigQuery, and IAM. Knowledge of configuration management and IT automation tools. Strong understanding of DevOps and SRE principles. Requirements Must reside in a fibre‑ready home with a minimum of a 100/100Mbps line. Eligible to work anywhere within South Africa that has reliable fibre connectivity. Must be able to work on‑site at an assigned TransUnion office for a minimum of two days per week.
