About the job Senior Analyst water and Agriculture Job Title: Senior Analyst Water and Agriculture Overview An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Analyst to join a mission-driven organisation that is shaping the future of South Africas water and agriculture sectors. The successful candidate will take a leadership role in projects that promote innovation and investment in sustainable water and agricultural solutions, contributing to national and global green economy goals. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage cross-cutting projects in the water and sustainable agriculture sectors. Conduct high-quality market research, data analysis, and develop compelling business cases for green technologies and infrastructure. Identify and address barriers to investment and uptake of green solutions in water and agriculture. Support technology and service providers through intelligence dissemination, partnership facilitation, and stakeholder engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society. Provide strategic input to shape programme direction and contribute to broader green economy initiatives. Represent the organisation at forums, workshops, and industry events. A postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level, in one of the following fields: Agriculture, Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Resource Management, or Environmental Sciences Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the agriculture or water sectors. Demonstrated experience in: Market analysis and industry research Business case development and feasibility studies Project management and reporting Stakeholder engagement and facilitation Solid understanding of South Africas agriculture and/or water sector and its policy landscape. Existing network within the public and/or private stakeholders in these sectors is highly advantageous.
