The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Management Accountant to join our client's finance team. This is a critical role that will not only manage day-to-day financial operations but also provide strategic insights to drive business performance and growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the FMCG sector and be ready to take on a leadership role. Responsibilities Manage and oversee a small team of clerks, including a Creditor's Clerk, two Debtor's Clerks, and two Invoice Clerks. Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts. Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on business performance. Assist in strategic decision-making by analyzing financial data and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. Oversee and participate in periodic stock takes. Ensure the integrity of financial data and systems. Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial policies and procedures are followed. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience or more as a Management Accountant, with a strong focus on the FMCG industry. Proven management experience, with the ability to lead and mentor a team. Proficiency in Sage Pastel is essential. Pursuing CIMA Strategic Level or qualified CGMA. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. A hands-on approach and a proactive attitude. Based in Cape Town and available for on-site work in Epping.
