Role: Senior L2 Application Support Lead Engineer Location: Johannesburg, South Africa Work Mode: Hybrid 3 Days Onsite EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS 4+ years of experience in application support, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role. Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, and integration points. Understanding of Java APIs Frameworks such as Spring Boot API Management and Observability Error handling and logging patterns API level Logging and Tracing Log analysis (Splunk, AppDynamics, New Relic) Experience in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with FinTech or banking compliance standards is highly desirable. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-compliance environment. Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven and ability to motivate a fast-paced team. Worked across diverse cultures and geographies. Pan Africa multi-cultural experience is advantageous.
