Overview Leading South African fashion and apparel retailer is seeking an Ecommerce Customer Service Assistant to join their team in Joburg. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure in a fast‑paced retail environment and grow within ecommerce. Responsibilities The Customer Service Assistant will assist the Ecommerce Manager and team by answering customer enquiries and phone calls in a professional, upbeat manner. The role requires familiarising with the product range to answer customer queries via email and phone, and assisting with operational tasks such as managing couriers and suppliers and placing orders. Qualifications Must have matric; tertiary qualification would be an added advantage. Experience working in an office environment with customer support and admin. Experience on Shopify would be a big plus, especially in retail. Experience in customer service, preferably in the fashion retail industry. E‑commerce/online experience would be an added advantage. Proficient in MS Office, internet, and email software. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English. Target driven. Excellent writing and email skills. Excellent phone manner and people skills. Personal Characteristics Excellent telephone manner. Professional email manner. Professional, customer‑oriented approach. Eye for detail. Eager to learn and please. Good time management skills.
