We’re looking for an Internal Communications Specialist to shape how MRI Software connects with its global workforce. In this role, you’ll create clear, engaging communications that keep employees informed, aligned, and inspired—bringing our messages, strategy, and culture to life across every channel. Reporting to the Content Manager and partnering closely with the VP, Brand & Market Influence, you’ll take ownership of internal communications across platforms such as SharePoint and other key channels. From leadership announcements to company‑wide initiatives, you’ll ensure every message is consistent, timely, and aligned with MRI’s voice and brand. This role is ideal for a confident, detail‑driven communicator who can write for senior leaders, adapt tone for diverse audiences, and turn complex information into meaningful, easy‑to‑understand content. This role will adhere to UK working hours, Monday to Friday. We understand the need to provide a flexible working environment partnered with team collaboration and socialisation. Therefore, we operate a hybrid working model with 3 days of working from home per week. This role is based in the Cape Town office. Create Impactful Internal Communications Write and deliver engaging content across emails, newsletters, leadership updates, and key business communications Adapt tone and messaging to suit different audiences, leaders, and contexts Manage the communications calendar to ensure content is delivered at the right time and with maximum impact Partner with HR and business leaders to support change communications and key organisational updates Bring Messaging to Life Through Presentations Develop compelling presentations for town halls, all‑hands meetings, and leadership briefings Create talk tracks, speaker notes, and scripts that help leaders communicate with clarity and confidence Collaborate with design teams to produce polished, on‑brand materials Own and Improve the Intranet Experience Create and maintain clear, user‑friendly content across the SharePoint intranet Ensure information is accurate, accessible, and easy to navigate Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and keep content fresh and relevant Own the Platforms & Channels Act as a key owner of SharePoint, building and managing content that supports internal campaigns and updates Optimise how different communication channels are used, ensuring the right message reaches the right audience Use data and engagement insights to continuously improve content and channel effectiveness Stay up to date with new tools and identify ways to enhance internal communications across the business Partner with Leaders Across the Business Work closely with the VP, Brand & Market Influence to bring leadership messaging to life Support senior leaders with high‑quality communications, presentations, and talking points Collaborate with teams across the organisation, acting as a trusted communications partner Ensure all communications align with MRI’s brand, messaging, and broader strategic priorities Drive Quality, Consistency & Impact Maintain a high standard of writing, clarity, and tone across all communications Develop templates, guidelines, and best practices to support consistent delivery Track engagement and performance, using insights to improve future communications Champion clear, concise, and effective communication across the organisation What You’ll Bring 4–7 years in internal or corporate communications, or a similar content‑focused role Strong experience creating a wide range of internal communications content, including leadership messaging Hands‑on expertise with SharePoint and internal communication platforms Experience working with senior stakeholders and global teams is advantageous Skills Exceptional written and spoken English Ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and communication needs Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail Confident translating complex or sensitive topics into clear, engaging messages Technical & Working Style Advanced Microsoft 365 and SharePoint proficiency Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities Detail‑oriented, proactive, and collaborative Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, global environment Benefits and Perks We want our staff to love working here, and so we’ve created a few unique perks such as office breakfasts, quarterly lunches and virtual social events.
