Job Summary My client in the metal industry is seeking a Millwright whowill ensure maintenance including problem solving, ensure minimum downtime. Qualifications Qualified and Trade Tested as a Millwright Must have at least 5 years work experience inthe steel industry Must be prepared to work shifts Weekend work is required on a rotational basis Sound knowledge and experience in mechanicalworks Knowledge of PLC control systems would be anadvantageous Must be prepared to work overtime scheduled orunscheduled outside of the normal hours Duties & Responsibilities Checking and inspecting machinery, placingorders with buyer for parts and reporting issues to the Maintenance Manager orSection Head Ensuring that all equipment and machinery ismaintained and fit for purpose Generating and executing job cards daily forplanned preventative maintenance and breakdowns Reviewing job cards or operations from theprevious day to identify problems and corrective actions required Carrying out breakdown repair work on electricaland mechanical equipment within reasonable time Completing root cause and failure analysis onprolonged and repeated breakdowns Ensuring that recommendations for improvementsto the planning office are made regularly Carrying out repairs and maintenance as per jobcard specification Analysing and communicating technicalinformation to internal and external customers as well as the Section Head Completing documents and reports in an accurateand disciplined manner and within time restraints Proposing and actioning improvements to thecompany procedures Executing planned maintenance on the plant andequipment respectively #J-18808-Ljbffr
