We are calling for suitable candidates to apply for the position of the Catering Team Leader for Fouways Kitchen. The incumbent will be required to perform tasks supporting the Catering Department. Please note that this is both an Internal and external advert, thus applies to Fixed Term Contracts, Casual staff and external possible candidates. Qualifications, Experience and Competencies Minimum Qualifications Grade 12 qualification Relevant qualification in the Hospitality / Catering sector or studying towards a hospitality Experience and Knowledge required Minimum of 12 months working in the Catering Sector Driver’s License (advantageous) Skills and Competencies required Must enjoy practical and methodical work Be honest and reliable Have good hand-eye coordination Be able to work quickly and safely Have good personal hygiene Be free from skin allergies to foods and detergents Have good communication skills Must be able to work as part of a team. Be able to bend, stand and lift. Be willing to travel Communicate potential problems Enthusiasm and passion for the Food service industry Willingness to be flexible as job dictates Key Performance Areas To ensure a high level of customer service within the area of responsibility To complete all the required check lists Perform related work as assigned To ensure that all the catering equipment is taken care of and the premises are left hygienically clean and tidy at the end of the shift. To report any Client Complaint or comments to the Team leader To carry out any reasonable request from any member of the Management team. To research and keep up with catering trends to promote competitive catering services To assist in preparation and cooking of meals.
