Job Description: Research and develop new composite materials, products, and manufacturing processes Design and refine composite structures and production solutions Produce 2D drawings and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks Conduct feasibility studies, technical evaluations, and cost-benefit analyses Manage prototype development, testing, and validation activities Analyse test results and support the standardisation of new processes Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on material and technology development Support supplier selection, material sourcing, and manufacturing improvements Maintain technical documentation, BOMs, and engineering reports Assist with quality improvements, design changes, and production challenges Support the implementation of new technologies into manufacturing operations Skills & Experience: 510 years' experience in composites, advanced materials, or manufacturing engineering Experience within industrial, automotive, aerospace, or related manufacturing environments Strong understanding of composite materials, manufacturing methods, and production processes Proficient in SolidWorks, MS Office, and MS Project Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on approach Commercial awareness, including exposure to costing and ROI assessments Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Detail-oriented, adaptable, and solutions-driven Qualifications: Diploma (NQF 6) in Engineering or a related field BTech or BEng (NQF 7) preferred Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel between sites as required Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
