The successful candidate will support the senior kitchen team in delivering exceptional food quality, maintaining consistency, and ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations in line with luxury hospitality standards. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily kitchen operations Supervising kitchen sections when required and ensuring smooth service delivery Preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to exacting standards Ensuring consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation Assisting with menu execution and daily kitchen mise en place Monitoring stock levels, rotation, and minimising wastage Supporting stock control and kitchen ordering processes Maintaining strict health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times Training and guiding junior kitchen staff where necessary Ensuring efficient communication within the kitchen team during service Assisting with recipe adherence and portion control Supporting overall kitchen organisation and cleanliness Requirements Proven experience in a similar role within a luxury restaurant or high-end kitchen environment Strong culinary skills with attention to detail and consistency Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced kitchen environment Good leadership potential with a hands‑on approach Strong understanding of kitchen operations, hygiene, and food safety standards Excellent teamwork and communication skills Passion for culinary excellence and continuous improvement Package Salary: R20,000 Candidates who meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity are invited to submit their CV to apply for the role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
