This is a 12–month contract with our client in banking. About The Role Are you a numbers-driven financial professional with a keen eye for data integrity and banking regulations? We are looking for a dynamic Regulatory Reporting & Financial Analyst to join our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) finance team. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between complex financial data and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for producing, analysing, and supplying critical regulatory reporting requirements (BA returns) to the South African Reserve Bank Prudential Authority (SARB-PA) and key internal stakeholders, while providing deep financial analysis to shape business strategy. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Gather, analyse, and review financial data to fulfil strict SARB-PA regulatory requirements. Reconcile Balance Sheet and Income Statement BA return information back to management accounts to ensure 100% data integrity. Financial Analysis & Insights: Interrogate financial information to identify anomalies, provide deep-dive explanations, and deliver meaningful recommendations to senior business stakeholders. Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance finance processes, systems, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and add value to the organization. Risk & Governance Management: Actively manage defined risks within the finance and regulatory reporting functions, ensuring absolute adherence to internal guidelines and external legislative frameworks. Strategic Alignment: Partner with the broader business unit to ensure delivered systems, processes, and financial solutions align with the overall CIB business strategy. Knowledge Sharing: Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory shifts, sharing knowledge and insights formally and informally with team members and stakeholders. Minimum Requirements Education: An Advanced Diploma or bachelor's degree in commerce, Financial Management, or a related field (NQF Level 7+). Experience: 2 to 4 years of solid experience within a Banking or Financial Services environment (CIB experience is highly advantageous). Technical Knowledge: Exposure to South African banking regulations, BA returns processing, and risk management principles.
