Chartered Wealth Solutions, a leading independent financial planning practice, invites you to join our Cape Town team as an Associate Planner. This role is designed for a developing professional ready to deepen their financial planning expertise while refining the coaching and interpersonal skills required to manage clients independently and deliver a consistently exceptional client experience. As an Associate Planner, you will work closely with the Director and Financial Planning Specialist, actively participating in client meetings, providing technically sound and considered advice, and compiling comprehensive, well-structured financial plans. As you grow in confidence and capability, you will begin managing your own clients, nurturing these relationships and building your client book while progressing your career within Chartered. Responsibilities Client Engagement and Relationship Management: Participate in client meetings, build trusted relationships, and ensure a seamless client experience. Gradually take responsibility for a portfolio of your own clients. Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct financial planning analysis, advanced modelling, and investment reviews. Develop tailored recommendations aligned with each client’s goals. Prepare comprehensive financial plans, including Scenario, Investment, and Estate components, incorporating models, calculations, and personalised insights. Implementation and Ongoing Advice: Support the implementation of recommendations, manage action items, and provide clients with timely updates. Ensure all advice meets regulatory and internal standards. Reviews and Client Support: Conduct annual and ad hoc client reviews, identify opportunities to add value, and facilitate review meetings for your own clients with accurate documentation. Compliance and Professional Standards: Maintain Fit and Proper status, meet CPD requirements, and ensure all compliance records and documentation are complete and accurate. 3+ years of Financial Planning experience (2 years will be acceptable for an exceptional candidate) BCom Honours in Financial Planning or a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning CFP® designation preferred. Candidates who are eligible to obtain their CFP® designation, or who are currently in the process of completing it, will also be considered.
