The successful candidates will provide technical support in the development, demonstrationand commercialisation of products and services developed by Mintek. Performing the total scope of work in the Division, including business development, fundamentaland applied research, technology demonstration, technology transfer and commercialisation. Driving high impact RDI programmes, commercial projects, contract research and funding strategiesto drive productivity and ensure the financial sustainability of the Division. Executing key disciplinary and multi-disciplinary assignments that require integration of specialistknowledge and skills to drive the Division’s capabilities in experimentation, testing and technologydemonstration. Conceptualising and drafting technical proposals for local and international funding to sustain worldclassRDI infrastructure and human capital capacity at Mintek. Providing administrative support to the Division, including managing and coordinating tender andCAPEX processes to sustain world-class RDI infrastructure. Contributing to human capital development through coaching and mentoring of colleagues,including providing postgraduate supervision where necessary. Qualifications Master’s degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, orequivalent, with a strong focus on pyrometallurgy research and/or technology development.
