Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and finalize large-format artwork from client files or internal designs to meet production specifications. Translate design files into print-ready formats: correct image resolution, color profiles, bleed, trim, crop marks and safe areas for large-scale output. Convert and assemble multi-panel files for tiled printing, seams and overlaps; account for stretch/warp on flexible materials. Manage color workflows: apply ICC profiles, perform soft-proofing, and work with print operators to ensure color fidelity across substrates (vinyl, fabric, PVC, mesh, backlit film). Preflight files: check fonts, links, vector quality, file integrity and identify potential print issues; correct or communicate fixes to clients/designers. Resize, re-layout and adapt artwork for different formats while maintaining brand consistency and image quality. Raster/vector conversion, image retouching, masking, and large-file optimization to balance quality and RIP performance. Create dielines, templates, and technical drawings for cutting, finishing and installation where required. Liaise with production (RIP operators, cutters, laminators, installers) to clarify specifications and troubleshoot on-press issues. Maintain accurate production documentation, file naming conventions, version control and archiving. Ensure compliance with health & safety and material handling procedures in print environment. Working conditions: Office and production floor environment; may require occasional manual handling of large samples. Standard or flexible hours depending on production demands; occasional overtime during peak periods. Technical skills: Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Correl Draw. Knowledge of RIP software (e.g., Onyx, Caldera, Wasatch) and print file output workflows. Familiar with color management and ICC profiles, Pantone spot conversion, and soft-proofing. Skilled in handling large raster files, tiling, nesting and preparing vector artwork for cutting/plotting. Familiarity with file formats: TIFF, PSD, AI, EPS, PDF/X standards; ability to generate high-quality PDFs (PDF/X-1a, PDF/X-4). Basic CAD/dieline tools or experience producing technical cut files (EPS/PDF for CNC/plotter) is a plus. Understanding of materials, substrates and finishing processes (lamination, mounting, eyelets, hemming). Soft skills: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple jobs concurrently. Clear communication skills for liaising with clients and production teams.
