The Intermediate Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering complex business and technology projects from initiation to completion. The role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered within agreed scope, timelines, budget, and quality standards while aligning with business strategy and governance frameworks. The successful candidate will manage cross-functional teams, oversee project governance, and ensure stakeholder alignment across business and technology units. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Delivery Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop comprehensive project plans covering timelines, resources, budget, and milestones. Lead end-to-end delivery of projects from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Ensure projects align with strategic business objectives and transformation initiatives. Manage project scope changes and ensure effective change control processes. Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Facilitate collaboration between business units, technology teams, vendors, and leadership. Provide regular progress updates, risk reports, and executive summaries to senior management. Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure clear communication across all levels. Risk, Budget & Governance Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Manage project budgets and ensure financial accountability. Monitor project performance against cost, schedule, and quality metrics. Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, policies, and regulatory requirements. Lead cross-functional project teams including business analysts, developers, and operational stakeholders. Mentor junior project managers and team members. Foster a collaborative and high-performing project environment. Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization across project teams. Change & Implementation Management Support business change management activities to ensure successful adoption of new solutions. Coordinate project implementation, including user acceptance testing and operational readiness. Ensure successful transition of solutions into operational environments. Strong project management and delivery experience in complex environments. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Excellent risk management, budgeting, and governance knowledge. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects in fast-paced environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Professional project management certification such as: PMP (Project Management Professional) PRINCE2 PMBOK Agile certifications are advantageous. Experience Required 6–10+ years of project management experience. Experience delivering technology, digital transformation, or banking projects. Experience working within financial services or large enterprise environments. Exposure to project governance, risk management, and regulatory environments.
