The Demand Planner is responsible for ensuring accurate forecasting and inventory planning to meet customer demand while optimizing stock levels. The Demand Planner collaborates with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to anticipate market trends, align demand planning with business objectives, and support the successful introduction of new products.Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting & Planning: Develop, manage, and refine demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and business insights. Collaborate with sales and marketing to align demand planning with promotional campaigns, new product launches, and seasonal trends. Continuously improve forecast accuracy through data-driven insights and stakeholder input. Product Positioning & Market Integration: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure new product introductions are aligned with demand planning strategies. Analyse product lifecycle trends and recommend stockholding strategies to support market positioning. Provide insights into demand shifts and recommend actions to optimize product availability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the link between supply chain, sales, and marketing to align inventory planning with commercial strategies. Ensure supply chain readiness for new product launches by collaborating with procurement and logistics teams. Drive consensus forecasting by facilitating collaboration between departments. Inventory & Supply Optimization: Monitor stock levels and recommend replenishment strategies to balance demand with supply. Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and work with sales teams to optimize stock turnover. Improve supply chain efficiencies by anticipating demand fluctuations and recommending proactive measures. Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyse historical sales, market trends, and demand drivers to refine forecasting models. Provide regular reporting on demand performance, forecast accuracy, and inventory metrics. Develop dashboards to support real-time visibility into demand planning and stock availability. Essential Requirements: Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics. Strong analytical skills with experience in demand forecasting tools and ERP systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and demand planning software. Beneficial Requirements: Experience in bringing products to market from a supply chain perspective. Knowledge of product lifecycle management (PLM). Experience in the (industry-specific) sector. Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods and data visualization tools.
