We are seeking a Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain server-side applications supporting Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, and Liquidity Management processes. The role focuses on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance back-end systems that improve operational efficiency and enhance the client experience. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in backend development with domain knowledge in financial services. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies. Design and implement RESTful APIs to support internal and client-facing applications. Work closely with business, operations, and front-end teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Optimize application performance, ensure reliability, and maintain data integrity. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve system issues in a timely manner. Contribute to process improvements, system documentation, and code quality standards. Participate in Agile development practices, sprint planning, and code reviews. Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on complex technical challenges (senior-level). Experience & Qualifications Mid-Level (4–7 years of relevant experience): Strong experience in Java and backend development. Knowledge of Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, or Liquidity Management processes. Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and RESTful API development. Ability to independently deliver features and resolve backend issues. Contributes to system documentation, testing, and process improvements. Senior-Level (7+ years of relevant experience): Deep expertise in backend architecture and Java-based development for financial services applications. Broad understanding of Payments, Investor Services, Trade, Pricing & Billing, and Liquidity Management. Experience designing scalable, high-performance systems and microservices. Leadership skills, including mentoring, guiding technical teams, and driving strategic backend initiatives. Acts as an escalation point for complex backend or client-related technical issues.
