An incredible opportunity is now available for a Pricing Analyst responsible for analyzing, managing, and optimizing pricing structures to support profitability, cost control, and competitive positioning. The position is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Job Summary: The role works closely with Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure pricing decisions are data driven and aligned to business strategy. Job Responsibilities: Supplier Pricing & Cost Analysis: Analyse supplier pricing, rate structures, and cost breakdowns. Conduct should-cost and total cost of ownership (TCO) analyses. Benchmark against market data, historical spending, and alternate suppliers. Monitoring & Variance Analysis: Track price movements, inflation trends, and exchange rate impacts. Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget, current vs. previous). Identify cost drivers and inflationary risks across categories. Negotiation Support: Prepare detailed pricing models and savings scenarios. Validate supplier quotes, tenders, and price increase requests. Support negotiations with insights into cost competitiveness and savings opportunities. Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, controls, and Code of Ethics. Maintain contract and pricing data integrity. Support audits and ensure compliance with BBEEE and regulatory requirements. Reporting & Performance Tracking: Maintain pricing models, dashboards, and reports. Track savings, cost avoidance, and procurement performance. Monitor contract pricing, escalations, rebates, and index-linked increases. Collaboration & Support: Assist buyers and pricing analysts with data and administration. Support management and procurement teams with ad hoc projects. Ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement and supplier data. Qualifications & Skill Requirements: Matric/Grade 12. Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance or Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Statistics or Data Analytics. Minimum 2-5 years' experience in procurement price analytics. Manufacturing or engineering experience is advantageous. ERP system knowledge. Strong Excel and reporting skills. Understanding of procurement policies and controls.
