We are a European flexitank manufacturing company with operations in 50 countries. We are currently seeking a Key Account Manager for South Africa. This position has the responsibility to take over the existing business and develop it further with the addition of forwarding services, meeting the budget, business goals and objectives as well as continuing to grow the business in line with the strategic plan set by the company. Candidates without any sales experience in the bulk liquid industry or logistics of industries that utilize flexitanks in South Africa will not be considered for the position. Responsibilities Business development in the Flexitank Industry in South Africa To plan and execute the needed programs to penetrate the targeted list of accounts in the region To gather market intelligence and provide constructive recommendations To establish excellent customer relations within the industry To develop, train and motivate the team to meet the above objectives To work closely with all departments and network partners in different countries to achieve short and long term objectives Negotiate customer trading terms after agreement with management team. Subsequently ensure that all customer requests for markdown, allowances and promotional spends are within these agreed parameters and approved by the finance department Ensure inventory levels are maintained to budget levels, and inventory mix is in line with customer requirements Follow up the overall accounts receivable and payments from customer Requirements A University degree, preferably in Engineering and/or Marketing/Business Management Minimum 3 years’ experience and proven track record in sales in bulk liquid Industry Good knowledge of bulk liquid industry as well as logistics of industries that utilize flexitanks Highly developed sales and negotiation skills Strong business intuition, capability to analyse and seize opportunity Excellent sales, marketing, communication and interpersonal skills Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Sales and Business Development Industries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at LiquA Europe SLU by 2x.
