Requirements Trade Test or Technical Qualification in a maintenance-related field (NQF 5 or equivalent) Certificate in Supervisory or First Line Management will be beneficial Approximately 5 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment At least 1–2 years experience in a supervisory capacity Experience working shifts will be advantageous Strong knowledge of maintenance systems, processes, and safety legislation Computer literacy (MS Office and maintenance/ERP systems such as SAP preferred) Key Responsibilities Manage preventative, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to reduce equipment downtime Coordinate maintenance schedules and supervise maintenance teams and artisans Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat issues Ensure job cards, permits, and maintenance documentation are completed accurately Support plant shutdown planning and maintenance projects Maintain safe working conditions and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Monitor maintenance costs and contribute to budgeting and cost-saving initiatives Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance management for team members Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery standards are met We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
