Senior Mobile Engineer Location: Stellenbosch - Cape Town (Hybrid/Remote considered) Reports To: Head of Engineering / Product Lead Mission Own the mobile experience end-to-end. You’ll lead development of our iOS app, ensuring seamless integration with medical devices, secure App Store releases, and reliable mobile observability. Your work will make AI-powered healthcare accessible in clinicians’ hands. Core Responsibilities Lead development and maintenance of the mobile app (iOS primary, cross-platform optional). Manage signing, provisioning, and App Store releases. Implement deep linking, push notifications, and audio capture features. Build and maintain Bluetooth integrations with medical devices (CoreBluetooth / flutter_blue_plus). Ensure mobile observability, monitoring, and reliability. Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate AI services into mobile workflows. Required Experience 4-6 years in mobile engineering. 2+ years shipping production apps that integrate with BLE peripherals. Strong skills in Swift, Flutter/Dart, or React Native. Experience with CoreBluetooth (native) or flutter_blue_plus. Specific Skills App Store Connect, signing & provisioning, TestFlight. Push notifications, deep linking. Mobile observability and audio capture. Nice to Have / Strongly Preferred Experience in health-tech or regulated healthcare or compliance-driven environments is advantageous. Qualifications Honours degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience in AI systems engineering.
