Job Overview To support the Head of Group Finance in driving the delivery of the Group’s strategic and financial objectives through high‑quality forecasting, budgeting, and medium‑term planning processes. To oversee management of Head office BU expenses. To manage & run the Group’s short term and long term incentive schemes. To provide insightful financial analysis, robust consolidation and forward‑looking decision support to Executive Management, the Board and key Group stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Group Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting Financial Consolidation and Analysis Consolidate subsidiary submissions (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Capex and KPIs) in compliance with IFRS and Group accounting policies, working closely with Group Reporting, Treasury and Tax teams to ensure alignment. Review subsidiary submissions with a critical mindset, identifying key financial risks, opportunities, sensitivities and cost‑saving initiatives, and clearly articulating insights to senior stakeholders. Perform in‑depth analysis on key financial drivers and complex areas (e.g. depreciation, recharges, incentives, IFRS 16‑related impacts, multi‑currency considerations) to support informed decision‑making. Performance Reporting and Business partnering Oversee monthly BU performance reporting, quarterly forecasting outputs, and medium‑term targets for Group BU functions, highlighting variances, cost savings opportunities, emerging risks and forward‑looking trends. Partner and engage with BU Head to manage expenses. Prepare/model the financial components of business initiatives/projects and take it through to the investment committee. Executive Support Summarise Group budgets, forecasts and medium‑term views into concise, high‑impact reports and presentations for the Group CFO, CEO and EXCO. Contribute to the preparation of high‑quality Board and Committee papers (IBP, budget, forecast and strategy submissions), ensuring clear narratives, robust analytics and supporting insights. Strategic Insight, Market and Economic Analysis Research and analyse macro‑economic trends, market conditions, analyst expectations and competitor performance across relevant markets, translating insights into implications for Group financial planning and strategy. Support the Group Strategy team with financial insights, analyst intelligence, competitor benchmarking and inputs into the Group scorecard and long‑term strategic planning processes. Stakeholder Engagement and Process Improvement Actively participate in planning and review sessions with subsidiaries and Group functions, proactively reviewing commentary packs and driving robust financial discussions. Maintain and enhance subsidiary submission templates, provide guidance and training to finance teams, and resolve consolidation queries efficiently. Identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across Group planning processes, models and reporting to improve accuracy, efficiency and turnaround times. Over time we expect the Group models to run in OneStream, with CCR currently live in production. Strong understanding of financial planning principles, accounting standards and internal controls within a complex Group environment. Proven experience in developing and managing sophisticated financial models across multiple entities and geographies, including multi‑currency reporting and consolidation. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, with experience using enterprise planning and decision‑support tools (Oracle, Onestream training provided, Hyperion planned decommissioned). Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of financial data and communicate complex concepts clearly to senior management. Personal effectiveness and time management to be able to deliver to strict deadlines. Job Requirements Qualifications Relevant financial qualification: CA(SA) with a minimum of 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably within a Group or Head Office environment. Strong analytical and critical‑thinking capability with excellent attention to detail. Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions and senior stakeholders. Clear, concise and confident written and verbal communication. Ability to operate under pressure, manage competing deadlines and deliver high‑quality outputs.
