Specialised Instrumentation Artisan – Ivanhoe Mines (DRC) 2026 Job Overview Kamoa Copper SA, a joint‑venture of Ivanhoe Mines and partners, is hiring two Specialised Artisans – Instrumentation on a 24‑month contract. The role is based at the Kamoa Copper Mine in Kolwezi, Democratic Republic of Congo. You will maintain and operate main generation farms and ensure reliable power supply for mining operations. Kamoa Copper is a joint‑venture between Ivanhoe Mines (39.6%), Zijin Mining Group (39.6%), Crystal River Global Limited (0.8%) and the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo (20%). The mine hosts a world‑class, near‑surface copper deposit on the Central African Copperbelt. Key Responsibilities Supervising specialist teams to keep generation farms operational. Maintaining diesel engines and electrical sub‑station equipment. Ensuring power supply aligns with mining production plans. Stakeholder management across functional lines. Supporting transformation, SHEQ integration and cost‑control. Requirements At least 6 years post‑qualification experience in an electrical sub‑station. Minimum 4 years experience with TGOOD™, Schneider™, ABB™ and ACTOM™ switchgear. Minimum 4 years experience with Comap™ suite software and VEDA™ software. Proficiency in business English (mandatory). French, Swahili or Mandarin are advantageous. Knowledge of ARCTEQ™ protection relays, MOXA™ network switches, fibre communication, Intelli™ monitoring software and industrial rotating machines (MTU, Perkins, Caterpillar).
