Employment Type: Permanent A growing engineering and construction business is seeking a driven and ambitious Project / Construction Manager to join its team. This opportunity is ideally suited to a young professional looking to accelerate their career within a fast-paced project environment, working across multiple construction and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and overseeing projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Planning and Coordination Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and deliverables. Coordinate manpower, equipment, and material requirements across projects. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Liaise with design, procurement, and operational teams to ensure project alignment. Construction Management Oversee daily site activities across multiple projects. Ensure work is executed according to drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements. Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel. Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. Resolve technical, operational, and logistical challenges on site. Project Management Manage projects through all phases, from initiation to handover. Monitor project progress and report on milestones and deliverables. Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations. Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. Financial and Resource Management Assist with budgeting, procurement planning, and cost control. Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets. Evaluate supplier and subcontractor performance. Support efficient allocation and utilization of project resources. Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement Lead project teams and foster a collaborative working environment. Coordinate activities between internal and external stakeholders. Maintain professional communication with clients, suppliers, and contractors. Assist in resolving project-related disputes and challenges. Minimum Requirements BEng, BSc, National Diploma, BTech, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 2 years' experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, renewable energy, or project management environments. Exposure to site-based project execution and contractor management. Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Valid driver's licence. Legally authorised to work in South Africa. Advantageous Experience within renewable energy or Solar PV projects. Exposure to EPC, civil construction, infrastructure, mining, or industrial projects. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Knowledge of project management methodologies and reporting tools. Personal Attributes Ambitious and career-driven. Strong leadership potential.
