An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Residence Manager to oversee a student accommodation facility. This role combines operational management with student engagement, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and well-managed living environment while fostering a strong sense of community. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day residence operations (maintenance, cleaning, security) Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations Manage leases, check-ins/outs, and room allocations Monitor occupancy levels and assist with vacancy management Plan and execute student social, cultural, and educational events Develop and manage a student experience calendar Supervise and manage Student Life Interns Build and maintain strong relationships with students and stakeholders Promote inclusivity and community engagement Act as first point of contact for student concerns and emergencies Manage incidents, reporting, and follow-ups Provide basic counselling support and referrals Mediate conflicts and enforce residence rules fairly Manage student communication platforms (e.g. WhatsApp groups) Maintain accurate records (student data, incidents, maintenance logs) Prepare monthly reports on occupancy, budgets, and activities Assist with budgeting and cost control Requirements Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Education, Hospitality, Business, or Property Management Minimum 5+ years’ experience in student accommodation or residence management (essential ) Experience in hospitality or community development (advantageous ) Knowledge of NSFAS and student housing regulations (advantageous) #J-18808-Ljbffr
