Key Responsibilities: Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts Oversee month-end processes Prepare annual financial statements Financial reporting Compile financial reports for EXCO and Board review Submit regulatory returns to the Prudential Authority Ensure compliance with SAM, SCR, ORSA and IFRS 17 requirements Support internal and external audit processes Monitor capital adequacy, solvency coverage and liquidity Manage premiums, claims, cash flow and bank reconciliations Maintain strong internal control and governance frameworks Identify risks, control gaps and process improvements Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Job Experience and Skills Required: Completed BCom degree in Accounting or Finance 2 to 3 years' post-articles experience within short-term insurance (non-life insurance) essential Exposure to motor, property and liability classes Strong understanding of SAM, SCR, ORSA and regulatory reporting IFRS 17 experience or working knowledge Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Excellent attention to detail Confident communicator able to engage with senior stakeholders Advantageous Experience: Exposure to binder, UMA or outsourced insurance models Broker onboarding or due diligence experience Experience within a growing or scaling business Ability to operate effectively in a lean, hands-on environment
