In addition to formulating and executing on the overall Absa Group funding strategy designed to support the strategic liquidity risk management objectives, the Funding and Liquidity Management team will also manage the population and reporting of depositor insurance templates to the Corporation of Depositor Insurance (CoDI). This role is pivotal in ensuring that the necessary rules are maintained and applied to Absa client data to generate the CoDI reports, as well as enabling the allocation of deposit insurance costs back to business. Accountability: Depositor Insurance reporting (50%) Prepare daily / monthly deposit insurance reporting for submission to CoDI. Prepare responses to queries raised by CoDI. Prepare other internal management information reports to monitor, manage and mitigate data quality risk. Prepare management information dashboards / packs for inclusion in committee meetings for senior management to make effective decisions. Prepare depositor insurance information packs for any external reporting as may be required. Accountability: Financial modelling / analysis (30%) Drive and deliver deposit insurance data quality and process optimisation initiatives. Perform detailed analysis (trends, and forecasts) on key depositor insurance data. Continually review the application of CoDI reporting rules and their implementation to ensure they are appropriate. Accountability: Business context (10%) Develop an internal network within Absa Bank at different business units and within Group Treasury. Develop and expand an understanding of approaches used in the management of broader liquidity and funding risk. Provide support for meetings with auditors, ratings agencies and other parties as required. Assist with production of presentations on topics related to depositor insurance and liquidity risk and funding for various audiences as required. Education and Experience Required Relevant degree in Maths/Finance/Risk Management. Prior banking experience (Treasury environment preferable). Skill in data manipulation. Knowledge & Skills Innovative thinker/problem solver. Broad understanding of banking. Ability to work well under pressure. Understanding of financial markets. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
