Warehouse Manager About Our Client Our client is a busy retail distribution warehouse. The facility operates on Sundays and requires operational management across site functions. The Role: Warehouse Manager The purpose of this role is to manage inventory, people, processes, and systems in a demanding, hands-on environment. The role exists to drive results through people, meet operational deadlines, and ensure compliance with standards. The main focus areas include managing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, optimizing warehouse space, planning delivery routes, and tracking stock and performance metrics. Key Responsibilities Manage the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide variety of goods with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager. Maximize warehouse space utilization and establish an efficient layout. Plan and arrange delivery routes strategically to optimize efficiency and cost savings. Track stock levels, quality, quantity, delivery times, and operational efficiencies. Conduct weekly cycle counts and thoroughly investigate any inventory losses. Supervise, coach, train, and develop the warehouse team to ensure they achieve their full potential. Complete daily, weekly, and monthly statistics and management reports. Comply fully with all Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, and remain on call for any emergencies. About You Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager Matric certificate Valid drivers license and own reliable transport Ability to track stock levels, manage delivery routes, and perform weekly cycle counts Ability to utilize productivity management tools and Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions Ability to create, manage, and continuously improve management reports Ability to read, interpret, and effectively communicate necessary policies and procedures to others Dynamic, driven, high-energy, output-based individual with a continuous improvement mindset and strength of character Organized, highly efficient manager who leads by example Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing operational requirements and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to anticipate operational bottlenecks or setbacks and proactively mitigate risks Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Warehousing, or Distribution (nice-to-have)
