We are seeking an experienced and innovative Mining Machinery Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, improvement, and support of mining equipment and heavy machinery systems used in underground and surface mining operations.This role requires strong mechanical design expertise, practical mining equipment knowledge, and proficiency in engineering analysis and CAD software.Key Responsibilities Design and develop mining machinery and mechanical systems Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications Perform stress analysis, calculations, and design verification Collaborate with production, maintenance, and project teams Improve existing equipment for performance, safety, and reliability Ensure compliance with mining safety and engineering standards Conduct site inspections and provide technical support when required Manage engineering documentation and revision control Support prototype testing and commissioning activities Minimum Requirements Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum 5+ years experience in mining machinery or heavy equipment design Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor Knowledge of hydraulic systems, conveyors, crushers, drilling equipment, or earthmoving machinery Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials Experience with FEM/FEA analysis is advantageous Good problem-solving and project management skills Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
