Position Overview The HR Manager is responsible for the end-to-end execution of recruitment, onboarding, learning and development administration, and core HR processes across the business. The role ensures that HR administration and industrial relations processes are managed accurately and consistently. It also ensures that statutory requirements are met in line with labour legislation and company policies. This position is suited to an experienced HR professional who is confident operating independently within their scope, takes ownership of HR processes, and is interested in developing broader HR capability over time. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field or equivalent practical experience Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR role (essential) Solid understanding of South African labour legislation Strong computer and HR Systems literacy (Sage 300 or Sage People advantageous) Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour legislation, and compliance requirements Experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations Strong administrative and organisational skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Professional verbal and written communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Practical problem-solving ability Ability to work effectively in a structured, operational environment Key Performance Areas Recruitment and Onboarding Support Manage the full recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, coordinating interviews, and preparing appointment documentation Coordinate and manage onboarding processes for new employees Prepare onboarding packs and arrange onboarding and promotion gifts Maintain accurate recruitment and onboarding records and documentation Industrial Relations Support Assist with disciplinary processes, including preparation of notices, documentation, and hearing packs Maintain records of disciplinary actions, grievances, and disputes Track absenteeism and non-compliance trends and report to the HR Manager Act as a point of contact for employee HR-related queries, escalating matters where appropriate Learning and Development Administration Coordinate training administration across the business Maintain accurate training records Prepare and submit the Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) Liaise with training providers and relevant stakeholders where required Support audits and compliance reporting through accurate record-keeping HR Administration and Records Prepare and maintain HR documentation such as contracts, job descriptions, letters, and policy related records Ensure HR documentation is correctly prepared and available for audit and compliance purposes Work closely with the payroll function to ensure accurate flow of employee information where required Prepare HR-related reports for management as required Compliance and Reporting Support compliance with BCEA, LRA, EEA, BBBEE and COIDA requirements Assist with statutory submissions and maintain compliance-related documentation Support audits through accurate and well-maintained records Employee Support Act as a point of contact for employee HR-related queries and elevate matters where appropriate Coordinate Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) referrals and related administration Applying for this position Only open to South African citizens.
