Overview The Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing the front office and financial reconciliation processes during the night shift. This role combines guest service, security awareness, and accounting accuracy, ensuring all daily financial transactions are balanced and the lodge operates smoothly overnight. Key Duties & Responsibilities Night Audit & Financial Reconciliation Perform end-of-day (EOD) procedures and night audit processes. Reconcile all guest accounts, room charges, and payments. Balance cash, credit cards, and ledger accounts. Verify and post daily revenue (accommodation, food & beverage, activities). Identify and resolve discrepancies. Prepare daily financial and management reports. Front Office Operations Handle late check-ins and early check-outs. Process reservations, amendments, and cancellations. Respond to guest queries, requests, and complaints professionally. Ensure smooth handover to the morning front office team. Guest Services Deliver 5-star guest service at all times, even during night hours. Arrange wake-up calls, transport, and special guest requests. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism with high-profile guests. Security & Safety Monitor lodge security systems (CCTV, access control if applicable). Conduct regular property patrols where required. Ensure safety of guests and staff during night hours. Act as the first point of contact for emergencies. Reporting & Administration Compile night audit packs and reports for management. Maintain accurate logs of incidents, guest requests, and financial records. Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit standards. Coordination & Communication Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams. Communicate any operational issues to management.
