This role is essential for maintaining the financial integrity and operational flow of the business. You will take full ownership of the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring that financial reporting is precise and that all statutory obligations are met with meticulous accuracy. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Maintain the general ledger and prepare the Trial Balance to ensure year-end processes run smoothly. Tax Compliance: Prepare and lodge monthly VAT and PAYE reports via SARS e-Filing, including full reconciliations. Payroll & Reconciliations: Perform payroll reconciliations and oversee the accuracy of related statutory submissions. Transaction Management: Manage the full cycle of creditors and debtors, including invoice processing and payment allocations. Asset Management: Maintain and update the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation and record-keeping. Requirements Experience: Proven track record in a similar Bookkeeping or Finance Assistant role, preferably within the construction or technical sectors. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience managing financial data up to Trial Balance. Language: Professional fluency in both English and Afrikaans is essential for effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders.
