A specialist Paediatric Pulmonology practice in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) is seeking to recruit an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the operational, administrative, and patient service functions of the practice. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational skills, a compassionate approach to patients and families, and the ability to support the doctor while ensuring the smooth running of the practice. Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Oversee the day to day operations of the practice Manage and support administrative staff and reception functions Coordinate and manage the doctor's diary and appointment schedules Provide reception cover when required Liaise with the outsourced billing bureau regarding accounts, billing queries, and reconciliations Assist with billing related administration and patient account queries Act as Personal Assistant to the doctor and provide administrative support Order and procure practice supplies, equipment, and consumables Maintain efficient office systems and workflows Ensure a high standard of patient service and experience Manage patient and parent enquiries professionally and compassionately Support practice growth and operational improvement initiatives Maintain accurate records and administrative documentation Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and healthcare stakeholders as required Qualification and Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 Minimum 5 years' experience within a medical practice in an administrative or management role Previous practice management experience advantageous Relevant post graduate qualification, diploma, or degree advantageous Management training advantageous Experience with Vericlaim and Practice Perfect advantageous Strong computer literacy and administrative skills Fluent in English and Afrikaans Valid driver's licence essential Clean credit record preferred Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities Compassionate and patient centred approach, especially when dealing with children and parents Professional, respectful, and approachable demeanour Strong organisational and time management skills Problem solving and decision making ability Fast learner with the ability to adapt to change Proactive, visionary, and solutions driven High level of integrity and accountability Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure Strong attention to detail and commitment to excellence Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 08h00 – 16h00 Start date: ASAP Only candidates who meet all the minimum requirements stipulated in the advert, will be considered.
