An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated midwife to take on a clinical and managerial leadership role within the Triage and Induction of Labour Suite at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving forward service improvement, working closely with the Moray Collaborative Project Team on the implementation of a single telephone triage line and the Birmingham Symptom-Specific Obstetric Triage System (BSOTS). This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our triage services. The post holder will lead and support the team in preparation for the move to the Baird Family Hospital, where services will transition into new clinical areas, separating the Induction of Labour work from both telephone and face-to-face triage. Strong leadership will be essential in ensuring a smooth transition and embedding these services. A consistent clinical presence and visibility within the team is fundamental to this role. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledgeable leadership, clear vision, and a commitment to high-quality, safe, and patient-centred care. The role includes managerial responsibilities with bleep holding an integral component of this post, supporting operational flow and timely decision-making across the service.
