Our client in the Manufacturing Industry requires the services of an Electrical Technician Overview: The ideal candidate will possess good fault-finding and problem-solving skills to join their team. Duties & Responsibilities Key performance areas: Involved in the smooth running and optimization of the equipment and plant. Performs condition monitoring on equipment and machinery. Analyse the efficiency of equipment and machinery. Performs planned and unplanned maintenance on all electrical and electronic equipment and machinery, including Siemens drives. Desired Experience & Qualification The successful candidate must have: Matric with a S4/N6 Electrical Engineering qualification or an equivalent qualification. At least 5 years relevant experience in an engineering/manufacturing and production environment. Ability to setup, program, and perform fault-finding on S5/S7 Siemens PLC, Siemens Master Drives, and Intouch HMI systems. Siemens PLC experience or similar system. Instrumentation experience will be advantageous. Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings and diagrams. Supervisory skills with the ability to transfer knowledge to students and apprentices. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Able to work in a team as well as individually. Good work ethic with sober habits. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able and willing to perform standby and call out duties.
