RESPONSIBILITIES: Tax Compliance & Return Preparation Prepare and process personal and company tax returns. Complete tax computations and supporting schedules. Manage a large volume of tax engagements while maintaining accuracy and quality. SARS e-Filing Management Manage all aspects of SARS e-Filing independently. Handle submissions, assessments, correspondence, payments, penalties, audits and SARS queries. Monitor client profiles for new correspondence and compliance matters. Assist and guide team members on e-Filing processes and best practice. Team Leadership & Workflow Management Oversee the day-to-day activities of Tax Clerks and Tax Administrators. Allocate and prioritise work according to deadlines and team capacity. Provide guidance, support and basic on-the-job training to junior team members. Process & Quality Control Maintain accurate workflow management through Infinity. Ensure documentation and client records are correctly stored and maintained. Monitor workflow progress and address bottlenecks proactively. Escalate complex technical tax matters to the Tax Manager or Partner where appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Taxation or a related field. Tax Technician Certification or equivalent preferred. B.Com with Taxation, Higher Certificate in Taxation or similar tax qualification advantageous. Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience in a dedicated tax environment. Strong experience preparing personal and/or company tax returns. Advanced SARS e-Filing knowledge is essential. Experience using Infinity workflow management is highly advantageous. Previous experience supervising, mentoring or coordinating junior staff would be beneficial. KEY ATTRIBUTES: Strong technical tax knowledge. Excellent organisational and planning skills.
