Industry Technology Specialist – BioEnergy & Grain Processing Role Purpose The Technical Service Specialist will provide expert technical support to customers in the grain processing, distilling, and bioenergy sectors across the Middle East and Africa region. This individual contributor role is key to ensuring successful product adoption, delivering technical excellence, and driving innovation‑led growth aligned with business strategy. Key Responsibilities Customer Support & Troubleshooting – Provide hands‑on technical support to customers; troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal product performance in grain processing, distilling, and biofuel environments. New Product Launches – Lead technical onboarding and field implementation of new products; coordinate trials, generate technical data, and support commercial teams. Innovation & Project Leadership – Drive regional innovation projects in collaboration with customers and application teams; focus on process optimisation, efficiency improvements, and value creation. Training & Knowledge Transfer – Deliver technical training and workshops to internal teams, distributors, and customers; build capability and ensure correct application of solutions. Market Intelligence – Track industry trends, customer needs, and technological developments; support business strategy and commercial roadmap. Cross‑functional Collaboration – Partner with Sales, Marketing, Regulatory and R&D teams; align technical initiatives with business goals. Qualifications & Experience Degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 5 years of experience in grain processing, distilling, ethanol, or related industries. Strong knowledge of fermentation, enzymatic processes, milling, or biofuel applications. Proven experience in leading field trials and analysing technical data. Willingness to travel extensively across the Middle East and Africa. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Self‑driven with the ability to work independently. Strong project management and cross‑cultural collaboration skills. Customer‑focused with a solution‑oriented mindset.
