Project Manager – Construction (Residential & Commercial) Location: Malawi (Project-Based Assignment)Contract: Initial 2-Year Contract (Renewable)Reporting Line: Directors / Senior Leadership Role Overview An established and growing construction operation is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of multiple residential and commercial construction projects . This is a senior, hands‑on role requiring strong commercial acumen, decisive leadership, and end‑to‑end project delivery capability. The Project Manager will assume full responsibility for programme execution, cost control, quality assurance, and coordination of all internal and external stakeholders from project inception through to final handover. *South African Nationals / Citizens will get preference Key Responsibilities Overall planning, coordination, and delivery of multiple residential and commercial construction projects Full ownership of project programmes, schedules, and milestones Budget management, cost control, procurement planning, and cashflow oversight Management of contracts, variations, claims, and subcontractor performance Coordination and leadership of Site Managers, consultants, contractors, and specialist teams Liaison with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and statutory authorities Ensuring full compliance with local statutory regulations, health & safety standards, and quality requirements Preparation of detailed progress reports and direct reporting to Directors Proactive risk identification and mitigation across projects Maintaining high standards of workmanship, delivery timelines, and financial discipline Candidate Profile Qualifications & Experience Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Project Management Minimum 10 years’ proven experience delivering residential and/or commercial construction projects Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently Strong financial, contractual, and commercial management capability Proven leadership ability with experience managing multidisciplinary teams Ability to operate autonomously with clear decision‑making authority Prior experience working outside South Africa or elsewhere in Africa is highly advantageous Personal Attributes Results‑driven, structured, and commercially astute Confident decision‑maker with strong stakeholder management skills Highly organised with excellent reporting and communication ability Adaptable and capable of working in a project‑based, international environment Working Environment Structured, professionally managed project environment Clear authority and accountability at project and site level Supported by experienced Site Managers, consultants, and local technical teams Exposure to a long‑term pipeline of residential and commercial developments High‑performing candidates may be considered for future leadership roles and extended project involvement Remuneration & Benefits Salary (Net): ZAR 65,000 – 75,000 per month (Negotiable) Initial 2-Year Contract , renewable based on performance and project pipeline Flights, accommodation, and work permits fully covered Secure accommodation and full logistical support provided Long‑term career opportunity within a structured and growth‑oriented organisation Application This opportunity is ideal for a senior construction professional seeking international project exposure , clear authority, and long‑term career progression within a stable and well‑supported environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
