Key Responsibilities Manage SQL Server databases; Configure and maintain database servers and processes; Monitor system's health and performance; Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security; Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes; Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement; Provide support for critical business systems; and Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities. What Makes You A Great Fit BSC Computer Science degree or BTech or Advanced Diploma or a relevant equivalent qualification at NQF level 7. A minimum of five (5) years experience in SQL Server database administration or a similar role. Knowledge and experience with database Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO). Knowledge and experience with backups, restores, and recovery models. Knowledge and experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. Knowledge and experience with Windows Server Operating System, including Active Directory.
